The last month or so have been a whirlwind for our family.

To sort of recap…Matt and I have been brainstorming ways to start paying off debt quickly while still continuing to homeschool our 4 kiddos. We want to be able to bless others, enjoy our life, and make memories; and being debt free will allow for more of all that! So after many discussions we landed on the wild idea of selling our double-wide mobile home.

This was supposed to be our forever home when we bought it a little over 5 years ago. We’ve loved it and all the memories we made in it. But it’s onward to bigger and better things. (Or smaller and more important things.)

Anywho. Apparently the market for used mobile homes is hot!!! We listed it on Facebook on a Sunday afternoon and within the first hours we had two scheduled showings and a growing list of backups in case things fell through. To say we were floored would be an understatement!

The first guy that came ended up offering cash and we closed a week later. We’re currently in the process of packing up so he can have it moved to his property.

So, what is in store for us? We’re currently in the process of renovating our travel trailer and we are going to live in it while we build. (We haven’t landed on the right house plan just yet, but we have time.) Our plan is to build as money allows so that we can be free of a mortgage payment. That may mean we live in our camper for an extended period of time but we’re ok with that. We’re looking forward to the many adventures that await us! Thanks for being excited with us!
